#Professional Biography
Pamela M. Mateyo is an Engineer and Climate change expert with over 7 years of working experience. She holds a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering obtained from the Copperbelt University, Zambia and a Post graduate degree in Climate change, Health and Disaster Management from the University of Technology, Mauritius.
Pamela is a Sustainable Development advocate focused on projects that promote environmental sustainability and creation of green cities. Her expertise varies from engagement in projects related to green building designs, access to clean energy and waste management.
Pamela has served as a District Works Supervisor under the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development where she supervised and managed different building infrastructure Engineering projects including Solar systems installations. She has served as a Technical Co-Consultant on the formulation of the National ‘Clean Cooking Strategy and Action Plan’ under the Ministry of Energy supported by the USAID-Alternative to Charcoal Department.
Pamela is also currently volunteering with the Green cosmos Zambia organization as a waste management specialist where she participates in the training of youths on how to turn waste into valuable products as a means to create sustainable cities and enable environmental sustainability.
