#Professional Biography
Pritchard Mukuka is a renowned renewable energy expert, engineer, and business leader with extensive experience in solar energy, carbon financing, clean cooking technologies, particularly biogas technologies and improved cookstoves. As a former renewable advisor from SNV, Pritchard has the experience and expertise required to design biogas programs and deliver trainings in the construction, installation, operations and maintenance of biodigester technologies including the applications of bioslurry for agricultural use in farming.
With a Master’s in Renewable Energy Systems from Massey University (New Zealand) and a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Copperbelt University (Zambia), Pritchard has played a pivotal role in shaping Zambia’s renewable energy landscape. His vast experience includes energy auditing, biogas systems, and productive-use energy solutions, having worked with organizations such as SNV, World Bank, USAID, UNEP, Engineers Without Borders, and the Zambian government. He has contributed to key national projects, including grid-scale solar feasibility studies, clean cooking strategy development, and the operationalization of energy financing initiatives.
